Over 4000 people that are being evicted from the gold mines in Mubende have attacked  the workers of Kitumbi Kayonza Miners Association over failure to provide  notice this eviction.

A group miners led by Kaaya Matovu ,Sarah Mukisa , Rapahi Bifiremunda ,Mutabazi Andrew that stormed the security guards pulling out the pole posts meant to demarket boundaries for the mine   explained that its almost three year  when they acquired  this land from various landlords on lease and cash and e started mining gold in this area but it surprising that kitumbi kayonza miners association that has just acquired  the licences over this land is forcing them to get off this land without consulting them first.

The manager of Kitumbi Kayonza Miners Association Senfuma Edward explained that they are licensed by the law to monitor as well sensitize all the miners in this area its not that they want to evict the miners but their major aim is to safe guard the lives of the people who are in most cases drunk and end up falling in the ditches leading to lose of lives   thus creating room for people to move out of the mining sector and sleep somewhere else.

Senfuma further added that government is has taxed 5% on the gold produced n this area and there is no way they can get this money unless all the gold produced is all sold within this area thus creating boundaries to monitor the production process in order to rate this money no a roadblock as perceived bye the miners.
