The Land Probe Issues Criminal Summons to Mubende Resident District Commissioner
The land Probe Commission has issued Criminal Summons to Mubende Resident District Commissioner and District Police Commander in respect to yesterdays shooting between security guards of Businessman Abid Alarm and residents of Bukoba Village Nalutuntu Sub County in Mubende District.
Information gathered by the Commission indicates that Kizza Edward of Focus Security Uganda shot a resident one Allan Talemwa in the buttocks over disputed Land on which Alarm is said to be planting Sugar Cane.
It’s alleged that the said Security Guard has since been granted police bond and the residents are accusing police of conniving with Abid Alarm to have him released.
Now Commission Chair Justice Catherine Bamugemereire also wants the RDC and DPC to appear before her on Wednesday 27th this Week and explain what is exactly going on.
Alam is under investigation for possible prosecution for murder, assault, grievous harm, inciting violence, disobedience of lawful orders and destruction of property among others relating to violent evictions in Mubende.
It is said that the Land Probe Commission received complaints from families of former World War II servicemen of forceful eviction from a piece of land measuring 12 miles in Bukoba, Mubende District by Alam’s agents since 2006.
